One year ago OUTinPerth was relaunched via this crowdsource campaign.
Graeme Watson and Leigh Andrew Hill launched this campaign to ensure that Western Australia continued to have independent queer media.
We urgently need your help to be able to continue doing our work.
Without news services like OUTinPerth you might never have heard about One Nation candidates who thought our community used covert Nazi mind control.
You may not have discovered local councils are voicing support for marriage equality.
We're pretty sure journalists at other publications didn't put pressure on the health minister about funding for a PrEP trial.
In the last twelve months our online audience has doubled, while our print publication has remained as popular as ever.
We're committed to delivering content that is community focused and engaging, made locally from a Western Australian perspective.
The Western Australian economy is tough at the moment, and businesses are cutting back on their advertising, which is having a direct effect on independent publications.
Whether you can give us one dollar or a hundred dollars, your assistance will help us ensure there is still an LGBTI media outlet tomorrow.
Thanks for your ongoing support of OUTinPerth, and Happy Pride!
There's so many great events on during the next month as WA celebrates Pride.
We really wanted to let you know about one special event.
LOVEfest: A Pride Party is a great event being put on by the team at Recycle Rainbow.
There are some great local bands playing, and the event supports OUTinPerth.
We hope you can come along.
Graeme and Leigh
Huge thanks for your support of OUTinPerth.
We want to thank you for your support and reward you for your generosity.
Today we've launched a new Facebook group, The OUTinPerth Supporters Club.
This group is for everyone who has financially contributed to our community focussed publication.
Join up and we'll send you invites to special events, get your suggestions on stories we're writing, and we'll have some exclusive giveaways.
The groups already up and running, and you can jump in now.
The group is a closed membership, rather than secret. So non-members will be able to see who is a member.
If you donated to our GoFundMe campaign anonymously, you might want to keep that in mind.

Over the last week we raised $1000 towards ensuring Perth continues to have a LGBT magazine in the future.
Thank you so much,
Graeme and Leigh
Monthly audience record smashed
The team at OUTinPerth were overjoyed in January when over 61,519 sessions were logged our website at www.outinperth.com
We thought it would be a tough feat to beat in February, for starters there’s three less days in the month.
We’re ecstatic to report that 77,625 sessions were logged on our site in February, representing an audience increase of 26%.
In comparison to the same period in 2016 the audience has almost doubled, with 99.9% more traffic coming to the site.
Our story on a One Nation candidate who believes gay people utilise a covert Nazi styled mind control program to garner support for marriage equality was picked up by media outlets around the globe.
The Prime Minister was even asked about it in Question Time.
Without OUTinPerth this story might have slipped by without being noticed.
Our team of volunteer writers have just completed over 90 interviews and reviews relating to Fringe World and the Perth International Arts Festival.
Audiences are loving our mix of politics, news, culture, celebrity and lifestyle stories.
OUTinPerth is also maintaining its popularity in print with 10,000 copies of the magazine distributed around Perth’s cafes, supermarkets and nightspots.
We’re showing how independent media works in attracting dedicated audiences and getting results for our advertising clients.
