We are asking for donations to help support Annette after the sudden loss of her husband, and alleviate the pressure of paying the mortgage in this difficult time so she can continue to raise the boys in their family home while she gathers her strength. Those who know Leo are already missing him dearly.
Leonardo Blandford died suddenly on November 14th leaving behind his two young boys Tino 4yrs and Ollie 6yrs and his wife of 9 years Annette Blandford Yopp. Leo was a loving and incredibly supportive father often working two jobs to provide the best for his family, always with a big warm smile and never a hint of complaint.
Annette is already facing the ongoing struggles of bills and providing for her children so any donations will make a big difference to help the family stay healthy, active and together. We are hoping to raise the funds by January to allow Annette time to be with Ollie and Tino through their grieving and healing process.
At risk is the humble family home in Suffolk Park, the same place where Annette was raised with her two brothers and it's also the home that they sadly said goodbye to their beautiful mum after a long journey with cancer. It is so important that these young boys continue to feel the steadiness and safety of a familiar home, and keep growing into the young men that Leo would be proud of.
Longtime well loved family of the Byron Shire and active supporters of The Byron Bay Surf Life Saving Club, the Yopp family are an integral part of our community and a solid rock for many of those who know them. Annette's kindness and generosity to others has always been given without question.
To now have the support of our community and beyond will make all the difference to this beautiful young family and we will all be forever grateful for the powerful act of kindness of which we will continue to pass on.
