Supporting the Trevithick Family

52083448_1603425446277129_r.jpegOn Saturday the 3rd of October Alecia suffered a brain aneurysm and was admitted to the ICU at the RBWH. She was making some progress and the hope was that on Monday the 12th she would move from ICU into the High Dependancy ward which was also Peter & Alecia’s 18 year Wedding Anniversary.
Unfortunately just 1 day short of this milestone Alecia then suffered a stroke. From that moment the road has been an extremely difficult one for this beautiful family. If anyone could have made it through this it would have been Alecia. She is the strongest, bravest & most determined woman you will ever meet. But even the strongest, bravest & most determined woman could not win this battle. Alecia fought hard until the end and left this world on Thursday 22nd October.
She has left behind a wonderful Husband, Peter, who was her soulmate and the love of her life. Her 2 amazing children, Wynta & Reiid whom she was so proud of and spent every moment relishing in their achievements and milestones. She was the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunty & friend anyone could have asked for.
Alecia will be dearly missed by all who ever had the privilege of meeting her. She lit up any room she walked into with her contagious smile, out of this world laugh and an aura that made people gravitate towards her and want to be in her presence.
Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the funeral will be small and family only with a view to plan something in the near future for her mass amounts of friends to attend. Once the borders reopen Alecia will travel over to her home country of NZ where the family will celebrate her life and her ashes will be left.
I ask that you donate what you can to financially help this incredible family at this difficult time and into the future. Where they can try to establish a new normal without Alecia. Peter will need to find his way back to work eventually whilst juggling a young family as a sole parent. To assist with funeral/memorial costs and travel to NZ when they can ❤️
