The site of the proposed development is within a residential zone, in fact, it will dominate the skyline of lower Grange and sit right over the top of surrounding residential homes.
The land of the development site is owned by Grange Bowling Club, and unfortunately, they have sold out their surrounding community to profit from this detriment for a paltry sum of $18,000pa in leasing fees paid by Telstra.
Residents are rightly concerned, for a myriad of reasons, that if this development was approved to proceed as planned, it would certainly lead to:
- unnecessary exposure of surrounding residents and businesses to high levels of electromagnetic energy (EME)
- diminished visual aspect of the suburb of Grange
- significant reduction to the market value of surrounding properties
We do not have to accept this in our suburb. With your assistance, we will defeat this development application!
Our community Facebook page 'Sos Grange' is now live with a lot of useful information for community members and would encourage you to join to stay informed with the latest information: www.facebook.com/sos.grange.9
We have engaged specialist planning lawyers to make a formal legal representation on behalf of surrounding residents to the City of Charles Sturt council opposing this development application.
If you are a concerned community member and would like to contribute towards the efforts to oppose this abomination from being approved to proceed, we would appreciate any contribution that you might be able to provide.
We greatly appreciate your support and together let's Save our Space!
