Over the next few months this group of amazing men & women will be training for the trek and fundraising towards their personal target of raising $1500 each before setting off to Alice Springs to walk one of Australia's most iconic desert trails. The amazing Larapinta Trail winds its way through the high ridgelines of the West MacDonnell Ranges and down through the Ormiston Gorge before rising up to magnificent Mount Sonder. This is one of the most spectacular outback experiences in Australia, but it's no walk in the park. Our group will be tested by the rocky terrain, steep ascents and descents of the trail and at night sleeping in swags with only the most basic amenities.
Our fundraising goal is to collectively raise $30,000 for Community Northern Beaches to help fund their frontline service staff in the homelessness and domestic violence teams. These out-reach workers are essential in helping CNB to deliver much needed services, however the associated costs, such as their salaries, are often the most difficult to fund.
Our Larapinta Adventure is a wonderful way to raise the money to employ experienced and dedicated staff who make a real impact on the lives of the homeless and domestic violence victims within our community.
Please help us to reach our goal and allow our amazing community group to continue to provide vital support to people in need on the Northern Beaches.
A donation of any amount is truly gratefully received and please note that all of our trekkers have paid for their own tour and travel costs so all the money they raise will go directly to Community Northern Beaches.
Thank you so much for your support!
