Josh’s fight for life

This fundraiser is to support Josh, Jess, Noah and Shakylah as they go through the most difficult challenge of their lives.

Three weeks ago Josh presented to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with stomach pains. Only a few hours later he was under going emergency surgery to remove a large cancerous tumor that had perforated his bowel. Josh underwent a 9 hour surgery that saved his life but sadly he has since been diagnosed with advance stage bowel cancer.

Josh is only 40, has a young family and and currently fighting for his life.

Josh and Jess have one child together, Noah and Josh has a daughter Shakylah from a previous relationship. Jess and Josh have already known their share of struggles with their son Noah being diagnosed with Autism early in his life. This serious developmental disorder impairs his ability to communicate and interact, making daily life very stressful. Despite Noah’s extensive needs, Jess and Josh have created a beautiful family and have truly inspired all of us that know them. As you can imagine, to have a cancer diagnosis is a devastating blow for the family.

For those in the Noosa area, Josh is a beloved local character. When not caring for his son, Josh has worked in the Noosa hospitality industry alongside Jess for the past 12 years. His cheeky, Kiwi humour always had people laughing. If you were ever dining at Halse Lodge or the Imperial Hotel, Eumundi all you had to do was listen for the laughter and there you’d find Josh. They say ‘to know him, is to love him’ and this has never been more true than of Josh.

To receive the support that the family needs, Jess, Josh and Noah are moving interstate for Josh’s treatment. Josh is about to undergo chemotherapy and intensive medical treatments for the next 12 months. With Josh not able to work, costly medical treatments and Jess acting as a full time carer to both Josh and Noah, finances are creating an additional strain on this already stressed family.

They desperately need financial support and your donation will help to relieve some of the intense stress they are under. Please help Josh fight for his life and get the treatment he needs. Your contribution will go a long way to helping this beautiful family.

Thank you ❤
