We are honoured to be setting out to achieve a 100km challenge in memory and honour of Harper Dowdall – ‘Hundred 4 Harper’. For those of you who haven’t heard Harper’s story, Harper was diagnosed last year with DIPG, an incurable brain cancer considered ‘the worst of the worst’. Harper courageously fought her battle for 7 months and tragically passed away a day before her 4th birthday in October last year.
During Harper’s journey, she inspired not only those that were close to her, but like us, she inspired so many that didn’t even know her as she showed the world what strength, courage, bravery and beauty looked like.
As the 12 month anniversary of Harper’s passing is upon us, we wanted to do something in honour of Harper and her family and all the families that are battling this tragic disease.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 which will be donated to Cure Brain Cancer Foundation which will go towards world-class brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness. Many people don't know brain cancer kills more children than any other disease in Australia. It also kills more people under 40 in Australia than any other cancer. Yet very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how to treat it.
In order to receive, we are also going to be giving and have pledged to do achieve 100km – ‘Hundred 4 Harper’
This is an open invite for anyone who would like to join on the 6th December 2020.
