Help Yennifer to raise little Fatima

Hi everyone, my name is Yennifer Urrutia, I am 33 years old from Colombia and my profession is Systems Engineer and I have other skills I have developed here in Australia.

I came by myself to Brisbane, Australia 3 years ago, leading a new adventure alone as an international student, looking for new opportunities and achieving my dreams like visiting the beach and learning a second language.  I have been a hard worker, entrepreneur, organized and independent since I was young. It is here where I start a new story, with new challenges which are demanding the best of me and I will be victorious.

I met my baby’s father, and after some time living together, we fell pregnant with our baby Fatima. This all happened at the same time as the lockdowns and the pandemic. Unfortunately, we lost our jobs, and our savings for emergencies ran out. We were desperate, we continued looking for the best options of surviving, but life had prepared the worst situation. My baby’s father begins to face a deterioration of his health which lead him to be hospitalized during our second trimester of pregnancy. He was completely incapacitated for work and started a two-month recovery. I continued working trying to provide what was necessary at home and do my best with my pregnancy senses and at the same time, my partner did his best to contribute what he could. Therefore, we decided to create a company of website design and development, without much result, because the pandemic affects all industry sectors.

It is a difficult situation that we are facing right now because we are not citizens or permanent residences and we do not receive any benefit from the Australian Government or any other kind of organisations. Our health insurances do not cover his treatment which is complicated and expensive. Our baby’s health insurance is awfully expensive, too. We exhausted all the possibilities. My baby’s father could not work, and due to my state of pregnancy, people rejected me at work. We were unable to find clients for our business and returning to Colombia put my baby's life and mine at risk, due to my advanced pregnancy and for the uncontrolled COVID 19 there.

After all of that, he decided to get back to his home country and broke our relationship up and do not support us economically anymore. I am a single mum now so, I come to you after having knocked on all possible doors, so that you please help my baby and me from the bottom of your heart, understanding ourselves and understanding that no one knows how the future can change, today for us tomorrow for you. This is a situation that nobody was expecting but we are facing it up to it with a lot of dignity, faith, love, and hope and giving our best to find possible solutions because as long as we have a life we can continue on this journey.

We really appreciate your collaboration, your voluntary contribution. We have you all in our prayers. Thank you very much in advance for understanding and supporting us.

God Bless you all. With love Fatima and Yennifer.
