The accident not only involved Xavier, both children were in the car and injured as well.
All three of them were rushed to Melbourne hospitals.
Both kids were taken by ambulance to the Royal Children’s Hospital, little Alby by helicopter who needed to have plastic surgery to repair a very large laceration across his gorgeous little face.
Jacoby suffered a broken collarbone. The boys are both well on the road to recovery now.
Xavier was taken to the Austin Hospital with spinal injuries and needed emergency surgery on arrival. Four days later he had to undergo another major spinal surgery.
Spinal cord injuries are complicated, and answers are rarely clear or predictable. What we do know is Xavier is very determined, while his back is broken his spirit is not.
We have had a lot of people asking how they can help or what can they do for the family.
So, we would like to help to ease a little bit of the financial stress on the family as it is going to be a long and challenging road to recovery for Xavier.
Your generous donation will greatly assist the family and enable them to focus on being with Xavier during his rehabilitation in Melbourne and beyond.
The Hermans family cannot thank each and every one of you enough for the love and support you have shown over the last month. They are truly blessed by the love and generosity you’ve all shown.
Let’s pray that Xav can get home to his family soon.
