Help melissa have a better future

56539377_1619922964143377_r.jpegHi I’m melissa and I know a lot that click on this link will know my story but for those who don’t I’ll tell it

I was a full time carer for my disabled mum and raised my brother  from the ages of 12 to 34 when she passed away on the 26th of January 2016. Taking care of her was the only life I had ever known and I was devastated. As you can imagine I had no opportunity’s to get work experience and my schooling was very limited. I was put on the jobseeker payment and have since struggled a lot with my own health mental and physical. I have a skin condition called hidrantitis suppertiva that limits my mobility and causes a great deal of pain. This also stops me from getting a job. Not many employers would understand about time off etc
I’m also booked in to see a neurologist in July due to showing symptoms of hereditary spasticity paraplegia I have a strong possibility dur to uncles aunties and a cousin with the same condition

MY ART
while caring for my mum I found my passion and that was art.I loved to create and loved the joy it not only brought me but others. I spent years drawing and perfecting as much as I could. On long nights while sitting with mum when she couldn’t sleep id draw and she would chat to me.

MY GOAL
I want to start my own art business where I can get off of jobseeker and create a future for myself out of poverty. I believe this is my one chance to change my life. I can create art when I have trouble with mobility and I’ve researched everything I can to make a successful business. I want to be able to not worry about bills and skipping meals and medications and focus on creating my art . It feels like I’ve finally found my passion and purpose again after 5 long years of being in poverty and struggling I’m starting to believe in myself again and for the first time I have goals and dreams but as you would know starting a business from scratch takes money. I need supplies. Things like a printer and heat press so I can make my art into merchandise and be able to sell it. That way I can also go to markets and sell physical goods online opening up every revenue stream I can . I feel bad about asking for money when I know there’s others that are also struggling but I feel like this is my only real shot at getting setup quickly and easily and being able to start the next step in my life. Also a shoutout to my Twitter friends who asked me to create this but alsohave been a huge support to me mentally and have helped me find my passion  and believes  in my dream as much as I do I wouldn’t of got even this far without you guys
