Help build the future for our young beekeepers.

49575888_1594524441611125_r.jpegDo you want to help build the future for young beekeepers and give access to learning for more children to learn vital bee awareness and beekeeping skills?
Here is your chance to literally help us lay the foundation stone for a stronger and more engaged youth beekeeping organisation.
Our aim is to build a multi use learning facility that will allow us to increase our capacity and to provide more beekeeping sessions that will increase engagement and ultimately give our young beekeepers a more comprehensive learning experience.
Tasmanian Junior Beekeepers is a not for profit organisation that delivers a program that offers  a unique pollination to plate program for children aged 7 to 17 years and gives a clear and equal access pathway to learn all aspects of Beekeeping and Bee awareness. We maintain our core values of equal access by providing all sessions fee free and by giving children with all learning abilities a fun place to learn about bees.
We currently provide education for over 80 children registered in our organisation and educate hundreds yearly through our in school incursion program.
We have a long waiting list of children desperately wanting to participate and up until recently we had been conducting our sessions from a tiny studio and we are at maximum capacity. With the current environment we are further restricted so there has never been a more important time to build our new home for our young Beekeepers.
We are fortunate to have a secure space made available on private land and have already contacted local authorities for approval. Building a bee hub  with a fully functional workshop, storage facility and a dedicated classroom will benefit all of our children and allow for multiple learning sessions to run simultaneously and for our young members who have started their own business greater access to the equipment they need to be successful.
The classroom will enable us to not only educate our members but also host unique school and community group excursions and in the current climate we will also be able to conduct online tutorials and workshops for children from that space.
We will have an internal wall dedicated to sharing the names of everyone who (unless you want to remain anonymous) helps us build our new beekeeping hub.
From all of us at Tasmanian Junior Beekeepers we hope you can get behind our project and help us build a home for our next generation of beekeepers.
Thank you.
