Help Alec fund his study

Let me introduce myself: My name is Alec. I have a passion for video game design, in particular creating interactive stories that people can immerse themselves in.

What am I currently studying: Currently I am enrolled in a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing) at Flinders University, Adelaide and I am in my second year of this study. While this has provided me with the foundations for writing original works of various genres, it is the genre of fantasy that I enjoy the most. I would like the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experience gained throughout this study at university to the video game industry. 

What I am raising money for: I have enrolled to study a Certificate III Design Fundamentals (Game Design Foundations) at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment commencing this month (July 2020). Once I have completed this course, I plan to continue to study a  Diploma of Screen and Media and an Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development. Once completed, I will endeavor to launch a career in this industry.

To cover the tuition fees for this study ($4180) and an upgrade to my computer hardware to meet the requirements, I require $7000. I have managed to save  some money of mine own through various casual work opportunities, but since the outbreak of COVID-19 these opportunities have not been as readily available for me to continue to fund myself for this study.

Update: Currently, I have raised $1400 from work opportunities and acquiring scholarships from local organisations, along with the money raised in this fundraiser. All I need to pay off the remainder of the fees is $1600, and because of that I have lowered the goal from $7000 to $3000 to account for what remains.
