I had a baby in 2020. Becoming a parent for the first time is a truly life changing experience. It's exciting, challenging, and very rewarding.
But one thing which first time dad's often don't talk about, is the struggle. The strain it can put on your emotional and mental health as well as the pressure that can put on your relationship.
I struggled. A lot. Post-natal depression is real, and it's not just for mums. That's why I want to do this marathon. I'm not a runner, I never have been. This is going to be hard, but it won't be as hard as what I went through becoming a dad for the first time.
But do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm running to raise money to benefit PANDA - Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia, and any donation will help make an impact.
More information about PANDA - Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia: PANDA provides a vital service across Australia by offering the only specialist national perinatal mental health telephone counselling service, as well as reducing stigma around perinatal anxiety and depression, and providing education services to health professionals and the wider community.
Thanks in advance for your contribution.
